David Wyman resides in Cochrane, Alberta with his wife, Dr. Barbara Wyman.  He was raised in the artist's dream state of New Mexico, USA.  During 40 years with the Baptist International Board, the Wymans served in Costa Rica, the USA, 15 years in Mexico, and 24 years in Canada until retiring in 2008.  David's education includes a BA, Master of Theology, Master of Religious Education, and a Ph.D. in education and educational psychology.  While confined to bed for a year as a child with rheumatic fever, David took up drawing and painting.  He gave it up as a teen and did not begin to paint again until he was 64.  Realizing that he still loves the world and craft of art, he concentrates on painting in oils and focuses primarily on the beauty and tranquility of God's wonderful world.  Each path, object, or other focal point in his paintings tells a story, if one listens.  David and Barbara enjoy teaching, writing, hiking, and opportunities to be with their three children, their spouses, and their nine grandchildren.
