The Great Visionary

I've been wanting to paint a Great Horned Owl for a very long time, waiting until I could find the perfect concept to demonstrate its amazing beauty. Flying in the distance, this magnificent creature may look just as nondescript as other more common large birds to the casual observer. Upon closer inspection, however, the Great Horned Owl's beauty is revealed by it's many textures and subtle colours, details that I strive to capture in my paintings.
